Haldwani News: People Leaving Their Homes and Migrating To Other Cities Amid The Fear of Police

Haldwani Violence Update: The people of Haldwani, Uttarakhand, are in a state of panic following the violence that broke out on February 8. However, on the fourth day of violence, the situation improved slightly. Meanwhile, in the aftermath of the violence, many families are forced to flee due to the fear of the police. Hundreds of families have moved to other cities. According to media reports, approximately 300 families have migrated from Banbhulpura.

Around 300 Families Migrated to UP

As trains were unavailable in Haldwani, residents shut their doors and walked 15 kilometers to Lal Kuan, where they boarded trains and were evacuated to various locations. Dozens of people were injured, and five people died in the riot that broke out on February 8th in Haldwani as a result of the illegal demolition of the madarsa. Many patients are still on ventilators in the hospital. According to locals, the police are harassing people in the name of an investigation, forcing them to leave the village.
