National News: India's Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri has accused the opposition leader Rahul Gandhi of creating a divisive narrative and fostering insecurity with his comments about the turban-clad Sikh community abroad.
In a statement in reaction to Rajiv Gandhi’s comment about the state of Sikhs in the country, Puri said “I find it astounding… I have worn a turban for 62 years of my life…it is more than just ignorance; there is a systematic and sinister attempt to create a divisive narrative and foster insecurity.” He furthermore said that his mentality of Gandhi is like that of Pakistan’s founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah where if you don't get what you want you seek to destroy it.
