Hero MotoCorp on Tuesday launched the Glamour Xtec variant in India. The BS6 Hero Glamour got a subtle aesthetic makeover. The front fascia now gets an updated headlight with DRLs on either side. The front cowl gets a new plastic panel with a 3D “Hero” logo.

Hero Glamour Xtec Specifications

The Hero Glamour is powered by a 124.7cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 10.72 bhp and a torque of 10.6 Nm. With both front and rear drum brakes, Hero Glamour comes up with a combined braking system of both wheels. This Glamour bike weighs 122 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 10 litres.

The five-speed 124.7cc BS6 engine of Hero Glamour makes 10.7bhp of power and 10.6Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle comes up with an Idle Stop-Start system that is aimed to improve the fuel efficiency.

The braking power comes from 130mm drum brakes on both 18-inch alloy wheels while a 240mm disc brake is available as an option. The safety net includes CBS tech that Hero MotoCorp calls Integrated Braking System.

The new Glamour Xtec’s drum variant is priced at Rs 78,900 while the disc variant is offered at Rs 83,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

TVS Motor Company on Thursday announced the launch of 125-cc TVS Raider. TVS Motor Company has updated its portfolio with the launch of a new premium commuter motorcycle, the Raider. The styling cues include a modern design for the LED headlight, body-coloured headlight cowl, body-coloured front fender, split-style saddle, aluminium grab rail, and an engine cowl.

The TVS Raider 125 is powered by a 124.8cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 11.2 bhp and a torque of 11.2 Nm. With both front and rear drum brakes, TVS Raider 125 comes up with a combined braking system of both wheels. This Raider 125 bike weighs 123 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 10 litres.

All variants use a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, three-valve engine that produces 11.2bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 11.2Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. The motor is linked to a five-speed transmission. The company claims that the 0-60kmph acceleration takes 5.9 seconds while the top speed has been rated at 99kmph.

The suspension setup includes 30mm telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock. The braking tasks on the base version are handled by drum units on both wheels. The disc variant gets a 240mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum unit at the back.
