HRTC Bus Attack: Police Arrest Two Accused Including Mastermind Bus Driver, Wanted to Take Revenge

HRTC Bus Attack: The Kharar police have arrested both the accused who used sticks to attack a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus in Kharar, Punjab. Both are from Punjab and live in a rented house in Mohali. According to officials, Gagandeep Singh, who lives in Muktsar Sahib, Mohali and drives a taxi, is the mastermind behind the bus attack. His other partner, Hardeep Singh, lives in Bhatta Sahib, Ropar, and works in the private sector in Mohali.

According to the investigation, Gagandeep saw a social media post on the ongoing conflict between Himachal and Punjab over the Bhindranwala flag. Following this, the accused intended to attack the Himachal bus in retaliation, accompanied by his partner Hardeep. Following that, on Tuesday evening, the accused attacked the Himachal Roadways bus travelling from Chandigarh to Hamirpur with sticks near the Kharar bus stop and destroyed it. Following the attack, the two suspects fled to Kurali in an Alto car.
