Hurun Global Rich List 2024: Mumbai Surpasses Beijing in Most Billionaires Count, Delhi Makes Debut

Asia Billionaire List 2024: According to the Hurun Global Rich List 2024, Mumbai has surpassed Beijing as Asia’s Billionaire Capital for the first time, with 92 billionaires living in India’s financial capital. Mumbai has more billionaires than any other city in Asia. Mumbai also has the third-highest number of billionaires in the world. In terms of wealth, Mumbai increased by 47 percent last year, while Beijing decreased by 28 percent. 

Delhi in Top 10

In terms of numbers, Mumbai saw 26 new billionaires this year, while Delhi, the capital, made its first appearance in the top ten in terms of billionaires. Furthermore, India produced more billionaires this year than China, with 94 new billionaires to China's 55. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and MD of Reliance Group, is the only Indian on the list, ranking tenth. Mumbai, Istanbul, Mexico City, and Melbourne are among the top 30 cities for billionaires.
