IAS Sonal Goel Opens About The Gender Gap In Administrative Services In India

Womenpreneur 2025: IAS Sonal Goel is a Resident Commissioner stationed at Tripura Bhawan in New Delhi presently. She hails from Haryana and has been featured in Top 25 Women Transforming India by Niti Aayog, United Nations and MyGov in September 2016. 

At the Womenpreneur Awards 2025, she addresses the gender gap in the Indian Administrative Services shedding light on the fact that there are still many posts that have never been taken by a woman in the field. 

She also underscored the role of supportive male counterparts who are making the stream an equal one for women. However, women indeed are required to get more extents than men in this male-dominated field where the gender gap is positively building but still has a long way to go.
