The Skoda Slavia is the third product under VW Group's India 2.0 project. Slavia will replace the Rapid in the market and share engines, parts and components with the Kushaq. The Slavia comes in two petrol engine options and three transmission options. The sedan is based on the MQB-AO-IN platform and offers segment-leading width.
Slavia will be using the same engine & gearbox options as seen on the Kushaq SUV. A 1.0 Lt TSI, 3-cylinder petrol engine, and a 1.5 Lt TSI, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine will be offered throughout the Slavia lineup. Skoda will offer a choice of 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter automatic & 7-speed DSG gearbox options for Slavia.
Volkswagen Virtus is the second model from the brand under Volkswagen's India To project. The new sedan is based on the Volkswagen Group's MQB AO IN platform which is also used in the VW Taigun, koda Kushak and the Slavia.
Volkswagen Virtus is offered in two engine options. The Virtus has 1.5 liter TSI EVO and 1.0 L TSI. The 1.5L TSI EVO engine of the Virtus car produces 150ps of power and 250Nm of peak torque. The 1.0 L TSI engine of Virtus produces 115ps of power and 178Nm of peak torque. There are three types of engine transmissions available in Virtus. It has been given 6-speed and 7-speed options. The mileage of Virtus car is 18.67 and 19.4 kmpl.
The all-new Honda City Hybrid e:HEV is the first strong hybrid mass-market car in the Indian market. The City gets connected car tech features such as Alexa remote connect as well as 32 other features. It comes with a blind spot monitoring camera located beneath the left ORVM and the camera switches on when the left turn signal is on.
Honda City Hybrid will be powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated Atkinson Cycle petrol engine with two electric motors and a lithium-ion battery. The petrol engine generates 97bhp and 127Nm of torque. The smaller electric engine is a integrated starter generator while the bigger electric motor drives the wheels and has an output of 108bhp and 253Nm of torque. This electric motor is mated to Honda’s eCVT while at speeds of above 120kmph, the ICE drives the wheels directly via a lockup clutch.
