International Youth Day 2024: India is the youngest country with the most diverse composition of youth across the field of technology, business, science, sports and entertainment. The theme for this year’s youth day “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development Circles” revolves around the same idea. On 10 August 2024, Aman Sherawat from the Indian wrestling contingent clinched his maiden bronze medal at his Olympics debut at the age of 21. He became India’s youngest-ever Olympic medalist with his third position at the 57kh-freestyle category. He also brought home India’s first medal from wrestling after Vinesh Phogat’s medal controversy.

Nancy Tyagi, a 23-year old fashion content creator from India’s Uttar Pradesh made history as the first person to walk the red carpet at Cannes De Festival in her self-made dress, a pink ruffle gown that she made from scratch in just 30 days with over 1000 meters of fabric. She walked the carpet carrying the 20kg gown making every fashion enthusiast and citizen proud.
Kaamya Karthikeyan, a 16-year old resident of Mumbai earned the title of the youngest Indian and second youngest girl in the world to climb up Mount Everest from the Nepal Side. The daughter of an Indian navy commander, she completed her scale at the Everest along with her father Commander S Karthikeyan in May 2024. The mountaineering marvel has been trekking since the age of 3 inspired from her father.
