About Ira Khan
Ira Khan is Amir Khan’s daughter with her first wife Reena Dutta. She was born on 8 May 1997 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She did her schooling at Lilavati Pidar High School and later went to B.D. Somani International School, and moved to Netherlands’s University College Utrecht for further studies. Her father is known as the ‘Mr Perfectionist’ of Bollywood and her mother Dutta is a film producer in the same industry. She also has a brother, Junaid Khan.

Ira struggled with depression after her parent got divorced. Amir Khan and Reena Dutta got separated in 2002 and Dutta fought for the custody of her children and conclusively won it. The divorce of the parents affected Ira at an impressionable age, and she later revealed how she believed she needed to be sad to be loved by people. However, she does not blame her parents for her mental toilied mental well-being.
Founder and CEO of Agastu Foundation
Ira launched her mental health support organization in May 2021. She is the founder and CEO of the foundation that offers free mental health-related resources to people across geographies and makes seeking help convenient and available. Ira’s personal battle with depression led her to take the initiative which her foundation defines as “Agatsu is her invitation to everyone to confront the unknown within and find their own truth..”
Euripides’s Medea by Ira Khan
She directed her first theater play adapted from the Greek mythology of Euripides. She directed Euripides’s Medea in 2019 and her brother Junaid acted in the stage play.
Love Life
In 2019, she also revealed her relationship with Mishaal Kriplani via an Instagram post. She started dating her fitness coach in 2020 and announced their engagement in September 2022 after Nupur proposed to her on his knee with a ring in hand and she said yes.
