Nupur Shikhare was born on October 17, 1985, in Pune, Maharashtra. He attended Seth Dagaduram Katariya High School in Pune. He also received training in Capoeira in Pune. He later enrolled in R A Podar College of Economics and Commerce. Nupur has always been a sports enthusiast since childhood and has played tennis with a desire to become a professional player. After relocating to Mumbai in 2004, he developed an interest in filmmaking. Following that, he began making short films and videos, which caught the attention of a Marathi film director, who offered him the position of assistant director. Nupur became a fitness trainer after working as an assistant director for a while.
