Bollywood Films 2025: Gear up for some thrill, adventure, romance, and drama in the new year, as the list of upcoming theatrical releases in January 2025 is an exciting one. Fresh plots and fresher anticipations of these Bollywood movies will give. 

Fateh 

Release Date: 10 January  

Cast: Sonu Sood and Jacqueline Fernandez 

Sonu Sood is in the titular role of this cyber-thriller film about a former gangster living a peaceful life away from treachery till he finds out about a local girl gone missing after falling prey to a cybercrime at the hands of a cyber mafia.

Azaad 

Release Date: 17 January  

Cast: Ajay Devgn, Aaman Devgn and Rasha Thadani 

Set in the backdrop of rebellion and tyranny in 1920s India, the film follows a young stable boy’s quest to ride a legendary horse named Azaad, an unruly beast for some. On his way to make the horse his ride, he also realizes his potential and strength. 

Emergency 

Release Date: 17 January 

Cast: Kangana Ranaut, Anupam Kher, and Shreyas Talpade 

Kangana Ranaut plays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, known for the infamous Emergency of 1975 when Democracy was uprooted. The film shifts the lens on all that underwent under the regime of Indira Gandhi including the Emergency and more.   

Lahore 1947

Release Date: 24 January 

Cast: Sunny Deol, Ali Fazal Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi 

Produced by Aamir Khan, and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film is set against the era of India’s partition in 1947.

Deva 

Release Date: 31 January 

Cast: Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, and Pavail Gulati 

Starring Shahid Kapoor as a rebellious cop, the film follows him on his investigation of a high-profile case where he unearthed several deceits and betrayals that have gone under the carpet of high profile.    

Sky Force 

Release Date: 24 January 

Cast: Akshay Kumar, Nimrat Kaur, Sara Ali Khan and Veer Pahariya

Bankrolled by Amar Kaushik’s Maddock Films, Sky Force is a film based on the true events of  India's first and deadliest airstrike during the event of the Indo-Pak air war of 1965.
