Japan Tsunami Advisory Lifted After Earthquake Of 6.9 Magnitude

World News:  Japan experienced an earthquake of 6.9 magnitude in the South-western region of the country on 13 January 2025, sending concerns across the country. The quake hit the coast of Kyushu with an epicenter depth of 30 kilometers, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).

Soon after the quake, a tsunami advisory was signed in the Miyazaki and Kochi prefectures, and distressed citizens were urged to move to safer locations. 

A small tsunami was witnessed after half an hour of the quake with no intense damage and minimal waves. The advisory was then lifted after midnight settling the situation in control.
