Jharkhand Train Accident: A major accident occurred in Barhet, Jharkhand, after two cargo trains collided. This occurred when the goods train from Farakka to Lalmatia collided with the goods train stationed in Barhet, resulting in a major collision. The engines of both freight trains were shattered and caught fire. These goods trains were transporting coal.

Both Pilots Dead, 4 Injured

As soon as the fire department was notified about a body trapped in the cargo train, the team arrived and extinguished the fire. Both loco pilots died in the collision. At the same time, all four people who have been reported injured are railway personnel or CISF jawans. All of the injured have been sent to the nearby community health clinic for treatment. The administrative team has arrived at the scene and is investigating the cause of the accident.
