Jigra Box Office Collection Day 3: Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s action-thriller Jigra is struggling to earn a decent collection at the box office, even after its highly-anticipated trailer increased expectations from the characters. The movie, directed by Vasan Bala and co-produced by Dharma Productions and Eternal Sunshine Productions, was released on the occasion of Dussehra and received comparatively low reviews, however, Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina were praised for their performances, as the fresh pair managed to gain audiences’ attention individually.
The movie earned Rs 4.55 Cr on its opening day, making it Alia Bhatt’s lowest opener since her 2014 movie Highway. The movie witnessed a slight growth on the second day, earning Rs 6.55 Cr, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. Maintaining the same pace, Jigra collected Rs 5.65 Cr on its third day, with no significant growth. The three-day collection totalled Rs. 16.75 Cr in India, falling short of crossing Rs 20 Cr milestone. Comparing it to Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Jigra is still behind the rom-com, and VVKWWV has shown decent growth in three days.
