CJI Upadhyay reported to the CJI that Delhi Police Chief Arora had given a video of the claimed fire incident and cash recovery at Justice Verma’s house on the night of March 14. He claimed that when shown the video and questioned about the source of the money and its presence in his official residence, Justice Verma voiced suspicion of a conspiracy against him. The Delhi CJI expressed a preliminary opinion to thoroughly investigate the entire matter.
