The very famous Kapil Shrama show has seen many ups and down throughout’s journey before reaching to the milestone of 500 episodes. Kapil who launched his own comedy show in 2016 after being a contestant of “The great Indian laughter challenge and comedy circus” recently opened up about his journey in the show and wife Ginny who supported him in his bad times when no one else cared.

Since its debut on Colors under the title Comedy Night With Kapil, the show has been a hit with the audience and soon made the show host Kapil Sharma a household name. Kapil hosts many celebrities on his show and promote their upcoming projects among his huge fan base. Children to adult, Kapil Sharma enjoys a massive fan following.

Kapil Sharma said I stopped trusting people:

Fever FM's 'Bounce Back Bharat Festival' aired an episode in which Kapil Shrama opened up about some difficult times in his life he said ““At that point, I Stopped trusting people. They'd say one thing in front of my face and another behind my back. Despite the fact that no one asked me to, I ended my show.” He further added saying that his mother had no idea about his mental illness at all as she is an innocent person from village he then referred to his wife Ginny and said at that time she acted as a strong pillar in my life and supported me and encourage me to start fresh.

In the interview, Kapil also shared how the show started and how he was first approached to host Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. Kapil said “I went to the Colors office, they had called me over, asking if I could host a show. I asked them which one? They said 'Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa'. I asked them what will I be required to do? They said you and Maniesh Paul will host it."

He then went on to meet the production house called BBC where he was called fat and unfit for the show “Aap bohot mote ho Aap thoda wazan kamm karo.' said a member who was conversing with Kapil. The channel, on the other hand, after listening of this incident, called her and said, "The guy is good, let's get him on board as host, he'll lose weight later." "So, why don't you think about doing a comedy show?" Kapil said. 

The channel asked Kapil if he had any ideas after his suggestion, and despite his lack of ideas, Kapil accepted. He asked two days off and went home to consider what he excels at."I enjoyed doing standup, sketch comedy, costume comedy. So I planned to bring together all the elements I am good at, put them in one show.  Said kapil.
