One of the most popular and longest-running reality show MTV Roadies is back and it’s bigger, bolder, and even better. Being a Roadie is not an easy job. It takes a lot to be on the road to becoming a Roadie and earning the title, starting with group interviews and moving on to personal interview rounds.
The idea has altered since the previous season. Rannvijay, the “life” of the show, was not present. Sonu Sood took over as the actor’s replacement. Ex-contestants versus new contestants dominated the previous season. To complete the job, a brand-new roadie contestant teamed up with an earlier contestant.
With a thrilling theme of ‘Karm Ya Kaand’, the teaser for the latest season of Roadies promises an unprecedented adrenaline experience. Roadies - Karm Ya Kaand’s visually stunning teaser teases the epic adventure that awaits, hinting at strategic and tactical obstacles for prospective contestants in the metaphorical trip created by fate, power, and actions.
Sonu Sood hosted the previous season of Roadies, which took place in South Africa last year. Ashish Bhatia and Nandini G lifted the award. Roadie 18 was played in groups of two. It aired from April 8 to July 10, and the winners received Rs. 10 lakh.
The entire premise and tone of the program were revamped, and the original cast members - Rannvijay Singha, Prince Narula, Neha Dhupia, and Raftaar - were not included. Sonu Sood was the sole host of Roadies 18.
According to insiders, Prince Narula is one of the show’s confirmed gang leaders and will return this season. There were no gang leaders in the previous season but, viewers will now be able to watch Prince Narula as the gang’s leader. He would be advising and mentoring the show’s contestants.
It is also reported that Bigg Boss Season 8 winner Gautam Gulati may be shown as the gang leader in the following season, though there has been no confirmation. Gautam hasn’t been involved in many ventures after Bigg Boss 8, although he was recently seen with Salman in the film “Radhe”.
According to the official teaser released, the auditions for this season will be held in the following states on these dates:
April 13 - Chandigarh
April 15 - Delhi
April 20 - Indore
April 22 - Pune
There has no information on which OTT the show will be premiered, however, MTV Roadies’ 19th season will air soon on MTV and JIO Cinema. The premiere date of MTV Roadies season 19 has not yet been announced, but it will be soon, as season 18 of MTV Roadies began in April last year. MTV Roadies’ final season ended in July 2022.
