Krav Maga: The Delhi Police have decided to use Israeli-style training methods to improve crime-fighting capabilities in the city. As part of this plan, all constables and inspectors must complete Krav Maga training. In the initial phase, 50 personnel, including 19 female officers, received specialized training at the ITBP camp in Panchkula. The training is being led by ITBP instructors who have received extensive combat training from the Israeli police. In addition to commando training and firearms practice, police officers are being taught Krav Maga, a highly effective self-defense and combat technique.
Krav Maga is a combat method that combines techniques from other martial arts, including judo, karate, wrestling, and hand-to-hand combat. It focuses on immediate and efficient neutralization of threats, providing officers with the necessary abilities to deal with both armed and unarmed attacks. The training covers knife defense, firearms, and other weapons, as well as high-risk decision-making techniques. This technique is frequently used by Israeli police and is considered one of the best combat systems in the world. The Delhi Police intends to improve security across the city by introducing Krav Maga into its training, assuring quick response to any threats while remaining vigilant at attack-prone places such as airports, railway stations, and bus terminals.
