Kuldeep Bishnoi has resigned from the post of MLA of Adampur constituency of Haryana. He has submitted his resignation to the Speaker of the Haryana Assembly. He can join BJP on Thursday. It is being said that he can field his son Bhavya Bishnoi in the by-election to be held on this seat.
Kuldeep Bishnoi was expelled from all party posts by the Congress last month. Since then, his closeness with BJP increased. Bishnoi, a four-time MLA and a two-time MP, had been agitated in Haryana after the Congress neglected him for the post of state president. The Congress had appointed Uday Bhan, considered close to former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, as the Haryana unit chief.
Kuldeep Bishnoi met Assembly Speaker Gyanchand Gupta in Chandigarh's Haryana Legislative Assembly and submitted his resignation. Sources claim that Bishnoi, who was upset over not being made the Haryana Congress president, supported the BJP by not voting for Ajay Maken, the Congress candidate from Haryana in the Rajya Sabha elections.
According to information received from sources, Kuldeep Bishnoi will join BJP tomorrow. Let us tell you that the Congress removed Bishnoi from all party posts after he did 'cross-voting' in the Rajya Sabha elections held in June. Kuldeep Bishnoi is the younger son of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal. He has already indicated to join the BJP. He tweeted, "August 4th 2022, 10:10 am." After this, he tweeted, "Don't be afraid to start afresh. This time there is a chance to do something better."
