Laddu Controversy: Ujjain Mahakal Prasad Passes 13 Purity Test, Considered Safe

Laddu Controversy: Ever since the shocking news of the use of animal fat adulterated ghee used to make Tirupati prasad came to light, every other significant temples across the country has come under suspicion. Recently, the Laddu prasad served at Ujjain’s famous Mahakaleshwar temple was tested and determined to be 100% pure. The laddu prasad at the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, met all 13 food safety requirements, giving a sense of relief among devotees.

Ujjain Mahakal Prasad Test

According to Ujjain divisional commissioner Sanjay Gupta, the ladoo prasad had to go through 13 separate tests performed by recognized labs of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). He stated that the prasad contained four basic ingredients: pure ghee, gram flour, rava, and sugar, with pure ghee being the most expensive ingredient.
