Life Insurance Corporation of India, the largest insurance provider in the nation, is now listed on the Fortune Global 500 list. In this list, LIC also omitted a strong business like Reliance. In the list this time, there were nine Indian companies' names. The government owns one of these five enterprises, and the other four are private.
The list of domestic corporations is topped by LIC, which is followed by eight other Indian businesses. Five of the nine Indian businesses on the list are owned by the government, while four are private businesses. The list also includes key steel and automobile industries backed by the Tata Group, however SBI is the only bank to appear on it. Oil and gas companies made up the majority of the Indian businesses on the list.
The largest life insurer in the nation, LIC, is ranked 98th on the most recent Fortune 500 list with revenues of $97.26 billion and a profit of $553.8 million. Indian Oil Corporation climbed 28 spots to claim the 142nd spot, and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation climbed 16 spots to claim the 190th spot. Tata Motors and Tata Steel of Tata Group, are ranked 370th and 435th respectively.
On the list, Rajesh Exports is listed at position 437. SBI advanced 17 spots to 236th rank, while Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) advanced 19 spots to 295th place.
