Viral: Unnao Jail Prisoners Take The Holy Bath With Sangam’s Water From Prayagraj

Maha Kumbh 2025:  In a joyous turn of events, the prisoners in the Unnao jail were given the opportunity to be a part of the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 with the help of Unnao Jail superintendent Pankaj Kumar Singh’s initiative. 

He made the holy “Amrit snan” possible for the inmate by arranging a sacred pot of the “Amrit” or sacred water from the Sangam at the Prayagraj. The water was then poured into a well of water making it sacred allowing the jail mates to take mugs of water from it and fulfill the holy bath. 

A video from the joyful scene of the jail is now viral on the internet where the inmates can be seen enjoying the sacred experience.
