Fungus on food, Expired Products: Maharashtra FDA Suspended Zepto’s License in Dharavi

Zepto Troubles:  The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration has suspended the operating license of Zepto’s Dharavi warehouse on the grounds of unsatisfactory food hygiene and non-compliance with FDA’s measures.

Fungus, rotten food, and expired products were found in the unhygienic and ill-organised warehouse of the food-delivering company in Dharavi, Maharashtra, revealing major food safety violations. 

Zepto was quick to respond to the actions by stating they have initiated an internal review and implemented measures to address the shortcomings and non-compliances.
