Maharashtra- Karnataka Border Dispute: Clash Intensifies Once Again, Bus Services Suspended

Maharashtra-Karnataka Border Dispute: A Karnataka driver was beaten up in Maharashtra, followed by a Maharashtra driver being beaten up in Karnataka, and the long-running dispute between the two states is once again on the rise. Due to this, bus travel between the two states has been suspended.

According to a police report, a little girl approached the conductor for a ticket in Marathi. When the conductor explained that he did not speak Marathi and urged the girl to speak in Kannada, she and her friend attacked him. Later, some Marihal teenagers violently halted the bus and attacked the conductor. However, as soon as the complaint was received, Belagavi police detained the four attackers. On the other side, following the girl’s accusation, a case was filed against the conductor for mistreating her.
