World News: In yet another rife, the Maldivian politician Mariyam Shiuna extended her apologies to the Indian state for disrespecting the Indian tricolor flag in her social media post. Shiuna was among the three ministers who were suspended for ridiculing PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Lakshadweep.
In her apology post on X, she clarified that the post was “entirely unintentional”. She wrote, “It was brought to my attention that the image used in my response to the Maldivian opposition party MDP bore a resemblance to the Indian flag. I want to make it clear that this was entirely unintentional, and I sincerely regret any misunderstanding it may have caused.”
