EQS 580 is the first electric car made by Mercedes-Benz outside germany. This ‘Made in India’ luxury electric car has loads of unique features. With luxurious looks and premium features, this premium electric car with a range of 857 km per charge was launched at the Chakan plant in Pune and is Mercedes' first premium EV to be assembled in India. It features a 56-inch single-piece MBUX Hyperscreen, which consists of three OLED screens. Further, the cabin comes with two dual-tone schemes, a Burmester 3D sound system, two wireless charging pads, powered rear seats with ventilation and massage, and powered front seats with ventilation, heating, and massage functions.
The exterior highlights include a coupé-inspired roofline, LED DRLs across the width of the fascia, digital LED headlamps, 3D helix taillights with a light bar, 20-inch aero alloy wheels, and flush door handles.
Powering the EQS 580 4Matic is a dual electric motor setup and a 107.8kWh battery pack. These motors produce 516bhp and 855Nm. Further, it provides a WLTP-certified range of 770km. The electric sedan supports 200kW DC rapid charging. The EQS 580 4Matic gets rear-axle steering, airmatic dual-control with semi-active suspension, a panoramic sunroof, a heads-up display, ambient lighting, and an MBUX rear-seat tablet.
The EQS electric sedan ranges between Rs 1.55 Cr to 2.45 Cr (ex-showroom pan-India).
