Easy Yoga Poses: In this video, our Yoga expert Saurabh Bothra will show you some easy and efficient 5-minute morning yoga poses to improve your mood, increase flexibility, and wake up your body for a productive day ahead. Begin by standing at the front of your mat, leaving enough space to stretch backward. Raise your arms aloft, breathe firmly, and then fold forward, letting your hands fall. If you can't reach the floor, softly bend your knees and rest your head. Step your right leg back, raise your left hand, and maintain the position while breathing steadily. Return your hand to the mat, going to Dandasana with a straight body line. Lower your knees into the cat-cow stretch, alternating between arching and rounding your back with each breath.
To deepen the stretch, extend your arms forward while lowering your chest and head. Move into Bhujangasana (cobra pose) before returning to Adho Mukha Svanasana (downward-facing dog). Step your right foot forward, raise your right hand, and then return to standing with both feet forward and arms extended aloft. For a full stretch, repeat this sequence with both upward-facing and downward-facing dog poses. Finally, bring your hands to your heart and say namaste. This brief yoga practice will leave you feeling energized, rejuvenated, and ready to face the day.
