Most Expensive Cities: Report Reveals Cities With Highest Cost of Living in the World Including Mumbai

Most Expensive Cities to Live: If you are planning to work in other countries, then do read this recent report called Mercosur’s 2024 Cost of Living. The report has released a list of the most expensive cities for workers in other countries. Hong Kong tops the list, followed by Singapore. Zurich is 3rd, Genoa is 4th, and Basel and Bern are 5th and 6th. America’s New York City is 7th and London is 8th in this list. 

Mumbai on the List of Expensive Cities

The list also includes India’s financial capital Mumbai which is 136th in this list. According to this report, due to rising housing costs and volatile inflation trends, the income of workers in other countries is under pressure, which affects the cost of living of multinational organizations and employees working there. They have to pay more for their basic necessities, such as rental houses and essential items. In this list, 7 cities in America are included in the top 20, whereas none of the cities in India are included in the top 100. In this report, 226 cities have been studied, in which more than 200 things and services have been measured as the comparative cost of spending.
