Mumbai Blast: Truck Loaded With Cylinders Caught Fire, Massive Explosion in Dharavi

Dharavi Blast: The Dharavi region of Mumbai was rattled when LPG cylinders in a truck exploded one after the other. Flames erupted all around, and black smoke was visible from a distance. It is said that the incident occurred on Dharavi Link Road at 10 p.m. on Monday night.  The fire department arrived on the scene shortly following the accident and took control of the situation. 

No Life Loss Reported

According to Mumbai Police, the blasts caused three or four cars parked adjacent to the truck to catch fire and were damaged. According to the BMC, the Mumbai Fire Brigade arrived quickly after receiving the information, and the fire was initially classified as Level I but was later upgraded to Level II.  To contain the fire, 19 firefighting vehicles were deployed on the scene.  According to the police, the truck driver has been identified and is being questioned.
