NEET PG 2021 exam delayed by 4 months owing to the current surge in Covid-19 cases, know details

NEET PG 2021:

Due to the rapidly increasing Covid-19 cases in India, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate) 2021 has been postponed by 4 months. The news was stated by the government press release issued from the Prime Minister’s office on Monday stating that the NEET-PG Exam is being postponed for at least 4 months in the wake of the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic in India. 


The government’s release mentioned that “A decision was taken to postpone NEET-PG for at least 4 months and the exam will not be held before 31st August 2021. Students will also be given at least one month of time after the announcement of the exam before it is conducted.” 

Adding to the statement, PM Modi authorities stated that the key decision is to boost the availability of medical personnel to fight the deadly virus. Students who are MBBS graduates, MBBS final-year and nursing students will be employed for Covid-19 duty as India is drawing under the huge crisis of the second wave of Covid-19 virus. Moreover, it was also stated that the medical personnel performing the Covid-19 duty might get the preference in the recruitment process for government hospitals and might also get financial incentives.
