Netflix announced on Thursday that it had stopped exchanging passwords in India. Following the news, only one household member will have access to one account. The decision is part of a larger global strategy that began in May. Users sharing passwords with people outside their families was losing the company money as it attempted to increase revenue following a difficult year the previous year.
Netflix previously permitted account password sharing. However, due to increasing losses, the company has chosen to stop exchanging account passwords. Let us remind you that last year, the firm began testing the password-sharing crackdown. As a result, many users were dissatisfied. In 2023, it will be available in a number of other countries, including Canada, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, and the United States.
