Netflix Renewals: The Royals Season 2 To Mismatched Final Season, Streaming Giant Renews Popular Shows

Netflix Renewals:  The global streaming giant Netflix boasts to be amongst the top streaming platforms in the world, with an array of original content ranging from web shows to film and docu-series. Ahead of the Netflix Tudum 2025 event, the streaming platform took a leap by announcing new seasons of its most popular shows. As fans wait with great anticipation for their favourite shows’ new season, we bring you a list of shows that have been renewed for a new season by Netflix today. 

The Royals Season 2 

Netflix’s latest regal meets corporate love story, The Royals, was met with a bag of mixed reviews, with the audience complaining about the lack of chemistry between the main lead, Ishaan Khatter, and Bhumi Pednekar. 

However, many said the show has potential, and it looks like Netflix heard it all as they renewed the recently released The Royals for a new season. 

Sharing the news on Instagram, it wrote, “Old money, new blood and a new season is in the works 👑🐎The Royals Season 2 is coming soon, only on Netflix”

The Royals released on Netflix on 9 May 2025.

Black Warrant Season 2 

Starring Zahan Kapoor as Jailer Sunil Kumar Gupta, Black Warrant, created by Vikramaditya Motwane, is renewed for a new season thanks to all the ‘love and appreciation’ the makers received for the show. The release date of Black Warrant 2 is still under wraps ,but the news was confirmed by Netflix India on Instagram with a caption, “Welcome to Season 2, Jailer sahab 🫡Black Warrant Season 2 is coming soon, only on Netflix.”

Maamla Legal Hai Season 2 

The multi-starrer chaotic courtroom comedy is back with a bang as Netflix announced, “Order order! 👨‍⚖️ Tareekh milne wali hai.. laughter ki 🤭🫶Maamla Legal Hai Season 2 is coming soon, only on Netflix!” The cast of the new season will have some older names, including Ravi Kishan, Naila Grewal, Nidhi Bisht, and Anant Joshi, with newer ones, Dinesh Lal Yadav or Nirahua, and Kusha Kapila joining the cast.
