New Criminal Laws: The Indian government has implemented three new criminal laws from 1st July. The Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been replaced with the Indian Justice Code or Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) replaced the CrPC, and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) replaced the Indian Evidence Act. Many rules and regulations will change as a result of the implementation of these three new laws, including the registration of FIR.
