CM Rekha Gupta Brings New Changes For Women’s Free Bus Rides in Delhi, Registration Required To Travel

04 Apr, 2025

DTC Ride Changes:  Delhi’s women can no longer travel for free in the buses. The new Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has introduced some essential changes in the ‘Pink Ticket Policy’ of the previous government.

Free rides on the DTC buses are not limited to women of Delhi alone. To enjoy the services of free bus rides, the women must be a resident of Delhi. They also need to register themselves for a smart card to travel in the DTC buses for free. The smart card will be valid for a lifetime. Women from anywhere out of Delhi will have to buy a ticket along with the Delhi women who do not have a smart card. The registration for the process will soon begin

This change has been brought in the light of the growing financial loss of around Rs. 6,000 crore to Delhi Transport Corporation.
