Nothing Phone (1) is currently in the private trial stage in several Asian countries, including but not limited to Indonesia, India and Malaysia. Notably, the smartphone was reported to be in the final testing phase in India in May, so it is possible that the handset will be launched in India before the rest of the world. Lets find out more about the smartphone.
The Nothing Phone (1) will sport a transparent back and an aluminium frame. Which means it will have a slim bottom bezel. The Nothing Phone 1 is expected to arrive as a mid-range offering. The smartphone is teased to have wireless charging support. Like the Nothing Ear 1 truly wireless earbuds, the phone is expected to have a translucent case revealing the internal components. On 10 May, Nothing confirmed that O2 will be the Phone (1)'s exclusive network partner in the UK, while Telekom Deutschland and Flipkart will help bring the phone to European and Indian markets, respectively.
The phone will take power from the Snapdragon chipset. However, it is expected that there will be a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Soc. On the software front, Nothing Phone (1) will run the in-house Nothing OS based on Android 12. Apart from this, the smartphone will get 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates, which is good but not the best.
On 25 May, German tech site AllRound PC claimed to have received pricing and availability information from a "European dealer," who wished to remain anonymous. According to the source, the Phone (1) could arrive as soon as 21 July, well within the company's promised arrival time of 'summer'.
