Odisha-Based Private Channel Launches AI-Created News Anchor Named 'Lisa', Know Other AI News Anchors

OTV, a private satellite news channel, made an impressive debut in the Odisha regional television programming landscape by unveiling Lisa, the state's first virtual news presenter produced utilizing artificial intelligence (AI). On Sunday, the unveiling event took held in Bhubaneswar. The AI-powered news anchor, dressed in an exquisite Odisha handloom saree, will present news in both Odia and English across OTV Network's television and digital platforms. 

OTV’s Director gives statement

Odisha Television Limited (OTV) Managing Director Jagi Mangat Panda said, "There was a time when a computer was an amazing thing." However, times have changed, and people are now spending more time on the Internet. In order to stay up with the times, OTV, which just celebrated 25 years in television journalism, has introduced Odisha's first Artificial Intelligence news anchor." "Because the use of AI in television broadcasting is still in its early stages, AI news anchor Lisa is poised to set numerous new milestones." Lisa is the first AI anchor in free-to-air regional television broadcasting. Similarly, Lisa is the first Odia news anchor," she added.
