Office Yoga Poses: Prolonged durations of sitting at a desk can cause stiffness and discomfort. In this video, our yoga expert Saurabh Bothra will show you some simple and powerful chair yoga postures created exclusively for desk workers to reduce tension, improve posture, and boost energy right at work. This class will cover simple stretches to relieve neck and back pain, easy motions to improve posture and flexibility, and brief relaxation techniques to help you de-stress at work.
The first pose starts with a moderate upward stretch, followed by bending forward and downwards. Next, raise your right hand to stretch, then drop it and repeat with your left hand. Finally, stretch both hands upwards simultaneously, then release and rest. The second position targets the upper body. Wrap your arms around yourself in a self-hug, elevating your elbows as high as possible before lowering them. Switch arms and repeat the raising and lowering. The third position consists of extending your hands forth, curling your fingers inward, and gently moving your head from left to right.
