OMG 2 Release date: Akshay Kumar-Pankaj Tripathi to clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal
OMG 2 Release date: After a long wait of nearly a decade, Oh My God is finally returning with its sequel in 2023. Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi will be taking up the key role in the second installment of 2012 released OMG. The actors recently posted an update on their social media announcing the same. On the other hand, OMG 2 is going to have a major Box Office clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ and Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’. All the three films have locked August as their debut date on the big screen. Check out the release date for the same.
OMG 2 Release date
OMG 2 has locked the date of 11th August as its theatrical release date. Talking about the release date of the film Akshay Kumar posted a picture of himself in a never seen avatar of Lord Shiva and wrote "Aa rahe hai hum, aaiyega aap bhi. 11th August. In theatres. #OMG2." The film was earlier slated for release on the OTT platforms, due to Akshay’s back to back failure at the box office, however now the film has taken a cinema route.

OMG 2 to clash with Animal and Gadar 2
Reportedly all three films OMG 2 (starring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam), Animal starring (Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri, Bobby Deol) and Gadar 2 starring (Sunny Deol alongside Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma etc) have all locked 11th August as their official release date on the Box Office.
About OMG 2
OMG 2 is the direct sequel to 2012 released OMG which starred Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The film was directed by Amit Rai who is also directing the sequel. Back in October 2021 Akshay released the first poster of the film confirming the sequel and wrote “‘कर्ता करे न कर सके शिव करे सो होय ..’ 🙏🏻Need your blessings and wishes for OMG2, our honest and humble attempt to reflect on an important social issue.
