  • Bhagat Singh was quite disturbed by the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre so that he bunked his school to visit the site of the bloodbath.

  • Bhagat Singh as a child always spoke about guns and was very passionate about driving the Britishers out from India.

  • Bhagat Singh coined the slogan of “Inquilab Zindabad” which also became the slogan of India’s armed struggle.

  • Bhagat Singh was hanged an hour before the official time of his hanging on 23rd March 1931, and as per the famous saying, Bhagat Singh was smiling when he was hanged, which was done with a fearlessness to “lower British imperialism.”

  • When asked to marry by his parents, Bhagat Singh refused and ran away to Kanpur. He told his parents that “if I will marry in colonial India under British Raj, then my bride will be my death. Therefore, there is no rest or worldly desire that can lure me now.” After this, Singh went on to join the “Hindustan Socialist Republican Association”.
