GST News: While the government increased the GST on gaming enterprises to 28 percent, this move has had an impact on many large organisations. According to a source, GST notifications worth Rs 1 lakh crore have been given to these online gaming enterprises, due to which international gaming companies have kept their distance from India. More than 100 organisations in India have registered with the Online Gaming Federation, and the GST Intelligence Directorate is planning to conduct an inquiry into these businesses in the coming months.
GST notices have been issued to gaming giants such as Dream-11, Play Game 24/7, and Delta Corp. Delta Corp has been served with a Rs 11,140 crore notice, according to information received. Delta Corp’s three subsidiaries received the second GST notification for the remaining Rs 5,682 crore. The GST Directorate issued a Rs 28,000 crore show cause notice to Dream 11, and a Rs 20,000 crore show cause notice to Play Game 24/7.
