OTT Release This Week:  Tie your seat belts, for you are going to be on a ride of emotions this week with a diverse combination of films and movies lined up for a release between 21 October to 25 October. Kriti Sanon makes her debut in a double role in ‘Do Patti’ alongside Kajol. ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’ is also coming on a popular OTT platform after its premiere at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on 15 May 2024.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

Release Date: 23 October 

Platform: JioCinema 

Starring Anna Taylor Joy in the titular role of Furiosa, the film marks a thrilling prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) taking the audience back to the town of Green Place of Many Mothers divided among two warlords. Joining Taylor-Joy in the cast is Chris Hemsworth. The film was first premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on 15 May 2024 and received a standing ovation. 

The Legend of Hanuman 5

Release Date: 23 October 

Platform: Disney+ Hotstar 

Based on the legendary character of Hanuman from the Indian epic Ramayana, the web show follows the prominent events displaying his unique strengths. The gift installation of the show will be about the Panchmukhi avatar of Lord Hanuman, his ultimate power and wisdom. 

Do Patti 

Release Date: 25 October 

Platform: Netflix 

Marking the first double role of Kriti Sanon, ‘Do Patti’ is also the Bollywood debut of TV actor Shaheer Sheikh, and stars Kajol in the role of witty police inspector. 

The plot follows the animosity between two twin sisters who consider each other their biggest rivals. The cracks in their relationship are amplified to the naked eye when an attempted murder case comes under the scrutiny of a police inspector.

 

Zwigato 

Release Date: 25 October 

Platform: Prime Video  

Kapil Sharma earned much acclaim for his film directed by Nandita Das. The film brings to screen the hardships of food delivery people who have newfound employment with the onset of food ordering apps but their economics still depends on rating and incentives. 

Thrill to slice-of-life drama, the new digital releases this week are numerous but entertaining.
