Tirumala Temple Accumulates Over 11,000 Kg of Gold in Banks in 5 Years

India’s Tirupati Mala Temple is famous all over the world. In this temple, devotees offer gold and silver ornaments as offerings to Lord Balaji. According to a lot of rumours, it is said that there are gold reserves in Tirumala Tirupati Devsthanam (TTD). However, TTD stated that all the gold was deposited in different banks from a white paper. 

More Than 11,000 Gold Reserves

It is said that Tirupati Tirumala Devsthanam Trust oversees the operation and finance of the richest and most visible religious centers in the world. According to the white paper, TTD has deposited 5,380 kg of gold in the State Bank of India, till June 2019, which further rose to 9,819 kg in September 2022. Apart from this, till June 2019, the Indian Overseas Bank has deposited 1,952 kg of gold, while till September 2022, Jama Rashi deposited 438 kg of gold. In 2023-24, TTD has deposited 1,031 kg of gold in the banks, while the banks have deposited a total of 11,329 kg of gold.
