Pahalgam Terrorist Attack: Following the Pahalgam terror assault, security procedures in Jammu and Kashmir have been reinforced. Security has been tightened at all tourist attractions. At Katra’s Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan, strict security measures have been implemented. According to an official, a command and control centre to ensure the safety of Vaishno Devi pilgrims will be functioning in Katra, Reasi district, by the first week of May.

Shrine Board Conducts Meeting

CEO Anshul Garg chaired a high-level security meeting of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDK), where he reviewed security preparations at the cave shrine. The chairman of the Shrine Board emphasized the importance of prompt operationalisation of the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in Katra, ordering that it be operational by the first week in May.
