The Income Tax Department has fixed July 31 as the last date for filing income tax returns for the taxpayers of the country. All taxpayers must compulsorily file their ITR by this time, otherwise penalty may be imposed later.

If you are also one of those people who pay their tax on time, then this news is important for you. Actually, you have to settle some important work by the end of this month i.e. by June 30, so that you do not have any problem in filing ITR.

PAN Card will Become Inactive

If a person still does not agree and does not link PAN card with Aadhaar card by 30 June 2023, then your PAN card will become inactive from 1 July. This means that your PAN card number will be of no use.Inactive PAN card means you may face difficulties in financial transactions. You will also not be able to invest in stock market, mutual funds and will not be able to file ITR from this year.
