Before the market opened today, there was huge news concerning Paytm: Paytm's Founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma will buy 10.3% of Paytm from AntFin, which caused the company's shares to nearly quadruple from their All Time Low. Vijay Shekhar Sharma's stake in Paytm will rise to 19.42 percent as a result of this transaction. The entire value is $628 million. Paytm's shares soared more than 6.5 percent in the opening session on Monday (August 7), on the announcement of this merger.

One97 Communications (Paytm) reduced its losses in the April-June quarter to Rs 3,458 crore. The company lost Rs 645 crore in the June quarter of 2022. Losses have decreased due to an increase in operating income. According to the corporation, operating income climbed by 39.4 percent to Rs 2341.6 crore. In the June 2022 quarter, it was Rs 1679 crore. In terms of revenue growth during the last five quarters, the company earned Rs 1680 crore in the June 2022 quarter, 1914 crore in the September quarter, 2062 crore in the December quarter, 2152 crore in the March quarter, and 2342 crore in the June quarter.
