PM Modi Punjab Visit: PM Modi will come to Dera Beas in Punjab, announces farmers' protest. Himachal Election
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet Baba Gurinder Singh of Dera Beas. During this, security arrangements have been beefed up across the state for his visit. In view of the protest by the farmers' leaders, additional police force has been deployed in Dera Beas and its adjoining areas.

The Punjab government had come under the scanner for the lapse in the security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi last time. So this time there is no relaxation in their security. After Dera Beas, he will address election rallies in Himachal Pradesh's Sundernagar and Solan. The advance squad of PM Modi's security has already reached Jalandhar.
On Friday, Punjab Police officials took stock of the security arrangements for the PM's stay. Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav says that security arrangements are being beefed up. DGP Gaurav Yadav has issued an order regarding security to IG Border Range.
Farmers protest against PM Modi
on the other hand, farmer leaders have announced to burn effigy of PM Modi and demonstrate. Sarwan Singh Pandher, leader of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, has said in a video released on Friday that effigies were burnt at many places including the Golden Gate. The farmer leader has also requested Deramukhi not to meet PM Modi.
