PM Modi Visits Saudi Arabia, Receives 21-Gun Salute Welcome In Jeddah

National News: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Jeddah on 22 April 2025 for an official two-day visit to Saudi Arabia. He was welcomed by a 21-gun salute on his landing. 

Modi has become the first Indian prime minister in the last 40 years to go to Jeddah, previously done by Indira Gandhi in 1982. 

All of Modi’s previous visits to the Kingdom have been limited to the capital city of Riyadh. The visit entails a meeting of the Prime Minister the Prince Salman of the kingdom, to “further deepen and strengthen” the ties between the two nations.
