Pride Month: Aryan Pasha, is the LGBTQIA+ pioneer from India and Asia in the bodybuilding championship. He is a trans man who has battled and won several bodybuilding competitions. His coming story is unique because he did not choose it to have acceptance from people around him, rather he came out to represent the trans man community legally and socially on a national and international platform.
The silver lining in Pasha’s story is that his parents introduced him to Gender Affirmative Surgery when he was only 16 years old. Pasha, assigned female at birth, always felt discomfort in his assigned gender and lived his life as a boy with much support from his family and friends. Post his surgery, he realized the scarcity of trans man representation especially post NALSA case judgment. Hence he made his goal to inspire other trans men to be loud and proud of their identity and seek the rights they deserve legally as well.
