Untold Stories of Transgender People: Facing Mental & Physical Challenges

14 Jun, 2023

Transgender People frequently encounter bias, prejudice, discrimination, threats of personal harm, and acts of violence instead of being loved and respected for who they are; as a result, they are more likely to experience mental health issues. If you have mental health concerns, support from friends, family, and even a therapist can make all the difference.

Challenges faced by Transgenders

Compared to the general population, transgender people do have increased rates of sadness, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. Among LGBTQ individuals, transgender people experience the greatest prevalence of mental health issues, typically caused by a combination of internal and environmental factors. Discrimination, transphobia, instability in the financial situation, and health issues are additional variables that contribute to the elevated rates of mental health disorders in the trans community.

In this video, we explore the mental and physical difficulties faced by transgender people. We highlight the challenges experienced by transgender people as they negotiate their gender identification and look for social acceptance by taking a stand. We must inform everyone around us about the community and uphold the principle of equality.
