The chaos and bizarreness of the cases, as they unfold, would leave you kicking your legs in the air as the lawyers, judges, and accuse all come around to deliver the most uproarious statements to defend their case.
Ravi Kishan has returned to Netflix in a completely different role portraying a ‘jugadu’ lawyer in the Parpatganj Court. ‘Maamla Legal Hai’ is a Netflix original series to be released on March 1.
Leading the team of aspirational and quirky lawyers is VD Tyagi, a shrewd lawyer played by Ravi Kishan, a Harvard return justice provider Ananya Shroff essayed by Niala Grewal, Anant V Joshi who thinks of himself as the Donna Paulson, from the OG courtroom drama ‘Suits’, joining them are Nidhi Bisht as Sujata Negi aspiring an AC chamber without as much as solving a single case, Anjum Batra, Vijay Rajoria, Yashpa Sharma, and Tanvi Azmi.
The trailer opens on the chaos of the fictionalized Parpatganj court in Delhi, where lawyers are selling their advocacy like vegetables lurking on the car windows. Ravi Kishan aka VD Tyagi is introduced as the go-to lawyer at the court known for his ‘jugaad’ and witty and humor-twisted statements with the juge such as ‘panch log milkar loot kar hi nahi sakte… yeh toh dacoity ka case hai’. He is shrewd but your best bet to seek justice with the most unconventional punchlines and quickwit. A foul-mouthed parrot, a passionate foreign return advocate, too used to the grind of court reality lawyers all come under the court roof to give a humorous and delightful take on courtroom comedy.
The witty tale blended with humor is helmed by Rahul Pandey, and produced by Posham Paa Pictures’s Amit Golani, Biswapati Sarkar, Sameer Saxena, and Saurabh Khanna, with Sameer Saxena as the showrunner.
